All undergraduate students are required to meet with their academic advisor before being allowed to register for classes. After the meeting, the advisor must remove the hold from the student's record in order to clear him or her for registration.

How to Remove an Advisor or Probation Hold

Student Profile

持有 will only be viewable/active for removal after the effective date through Student Profile, use Advisee Management prior to effective date.

1. 登录到 VandalWeb using NetID and password
2. 选择教师 & 顾问选项卡
3. Select Student Profile
4. Select Term and enter Student ID or search Student Name to locate correct student
5. Select View Profile
6. In top, right corner open the 持有 link
7. Locate Advisor hold or the Probation hold and click Release button

Advisee Management

Probation holds can only be removed using Student Profile.

1. 登录到 VandalWeb using NetID and password
2. 选择教师 & 顾问选项卡
3. Select Advisee Management
4. Release advisor holds by using the radio button selection next to the student(s)
5. Click Save Changes

Advisee records are automatically updated through the Change of Major process in VandalWeb. Any additional changes must be done directly in Banner by administrative staff in the department or college.
